Please help determine value of G date
This was my Dad's and I am interested in an approximate value for insurance purposes. I think that it is a shooter but is in nice shape. It has the eagle over 211 and bmp markings. All parts match, including the magazine. This is a great forum for beginners!
Many thanks, Barry http://forums.lugerforum.com/lfupload/ob415_1_wince.jpg http://forums.lugerforum.com/lfupload'od415_2_wince.jpg http://forums.lugerforums.com/lfuplo...15_3_wince.jpg http://forums/lugerforum.com/upload/ob415_4_wince.jpg http://forums.lugerforum.com/lfuploa...5_5_wince.jpeg http://forums.lugerforum.com/lfupload/ob415_6_wince.jpg http://forums.lugerforum.com/lfupload/ob415_7_wince.jpg |

Barry, welcome to the Lugerforum. From the photos that you have posted, it is my opinion that the gun was buffed and reblued sometime during it's recent history which puts it in the "shooter" class... rather than collectible...
Even though it is a G-date, because it has been refinished, It's value would be somewhere between $500 and $750 in my humble opinion, depending on whether or not all the numbers match and how bad someone wanted it... |
I would agree with John on the value. But would add that a proper restore form Thor would bring up the value as well as better preserve it for your children. Plus it would look a much better.
