A gaggle of classic WW II service pistols!

You might ask "why the interest in Nazi weapons" from me? The Washington Arms Collectors is moving into a new building at the Western Wa. Fairgrounds later this year. We will have a lot more room, so I will be able to expand my diplays and I detect a resurgance of interest in WW II era weapons, so I am trying to acquire some nice examples while they are still affordable! A rising tide raises all boats!!!!

With more patriotic movies coming out about WW II, that will fuel interest in these weapons.

As I watched the Inauguration yesterday, almost every weapon carried by the marching groups was an M1 Garand or M14, with a few M1903 Springfields. Steel and wood, what REAL guns are made of!

The sample contains 2-640(b) FN Hi Powers, one early with tangent sight and the other a late production. A 626(b) FN Mod. 1922, a Mauser P.38 and a Mauser HSc.

Classic military handguns all!

Just so you know John H... I was at the inauguration, and at the parade... and saw most of those marching units as close as a non-participant was allowed to get by the security forces present.

Most of the drill rifles that were below the University level were in pretty bad shape, and MANY were plastic molded imitations of real guns...

The active duty and reserve unit guns were looking good... and the fancy walnut on the M-1's and M-14's was enough to drool over...

The state of the art stuff carried by the security forces was a lot of plastic and steel, but was formidable... and as you know, there were no incidents that weren't quickly suppressed by the security... a good job done by all...

BTW, Nice Photo!

Now this is what I was looking for. I thought you had a Luger somewhere though? If so, forgot that one. Thanks for sharing your impressive collection.
