Geeze...$ 150...

I was happy to pay $ 50 for mine from a local gun shop...

Doug, maybe your first posting shouldn't be an advertisement for your own auction?

Why not? Nothing wrong with trying to sell your stuff.

I'm like Pete, $150 seems like a lot. Granted, it is a nice holster. I wondered a bit why the price shot up so quickly, particularly with bids from a first time eBay participant. Must want it really badly!

:( I felt that since he did not repesent it as his auction (not obvious) and was his first posting and only posting, it appeared purely commericial in nature.

triberg 01-26-2005 07:49 PM

Just to let everyone know--yes, this is my holster. Not identifying myself as the seller was not intentional--I guess I didn't even think about it as being an issue. Thought fellow Luger collectors would be interested, so I decided to post it here. Though this is my first post, I do lurk here religiously and really appreciate the forum. Moderators--please delete my posting if inappropriate. Thanks all.:(

Point well taken Ed. You are absolutely correct...it is purely commercial in nature, capitalism at work. May have been a little more appropriate posted in the "For Sale" section, but I understand the rationale for posting it here. Guess I am willing to cut a new poster some slack. Next time I will jump on him like a duck on a junebug (or not, depending on how crotchity I'm feeling at the time).;)

Edward Tinker 01-26-2005 08:51 PM

nah, just playing the mean role today :D maybe not my turn?

I always 'ppreciate a look at something for sale ;)

But lurkers are the ones with those safes of luggers, least thats my thinkin'

:D

Ron,
I'm a little suspicious of "Billy" too. I hope Billy likes it.

Must be a full moon!!

triberg 01-28-2005 03:01 PM

Holy Cow!! Might be able to buy a new Luger with the money from this holster--$182.50 (and hopefully counting). Any experts know why this is getting so much interest???

Heinz 01-28-2005 08:54 PM

Who knows? Maybe there are interarms collectors springing up out there.

Ron Wood 01-29-2005 02:30 AM

triberg,
It is like everything else...supply and demand. You have a really nice condition holster that isn't being made anymore. If someone needs one for their collection, there aren't a lot of sources of supply. That combined with bidding frenzy might realize a tidy profit for you. Good luck. I hope the successful bidder is legitimate and you get your money. (Heck, if it was cheap, I'd buy it!:) )

mauro 01-29-2005 11:33 AM

triberg,
Mauser Parabellum and related accessories are getting more and more interest for collecting purposes, mainly the commemorative models.
Note also that Mauser did not produce holsters for Parabellum therefore the Interarms models are the only correct holsters at collecting point of view. I need one of this holsters but I hope to find something less expensive.
Ciao

$250.00 was my limit!!!

Well, good old Billy363636 was willing to spend $250.00 for this holster. I have a 6in Interarms PO-8 that wanted to move from the blue and white box it lives in into this holster. OH WEll Its still mad at me that I would not bid over the $305.00 that it was up to and sold for. But I promised it I would get it a nice custom built holster for it, and for less money! Guess what? It asked me could it pick out the color and tooling. Alls well that ends well!!!

welcome to the Lugerforum Billy...

Pete Ebbink 02-02-2005 06:37 PM

Hi Billy,

This is the holster I found a year ago for only $ 50.00 at a local gun shop in the Bay Area...

I think some other, cheaply priced ones are still out there...

Regards,

Pete...:typing:
