gfg41 P08 Holster
Can anyone help me with information of the maker and possible value of this holster, dated 1941 and marked gTg with a WaA 101 marking. A couple stitches are missing on the back loop but the loops are all tight. Also I am not certain, but it appears the magazine pouch has been trimmed ?? Just not sure. Hope the pics show up, thanks very much:)

Josef, it appears to be a P08 holster converted to P38 use by modifiing or replacing the magazine pouch. Fairly uncommon and legitimate.

Thankyou Sir, do you see this as a collectable item, or something I should perhaps think of parting with?
|
From the photos, the mark appears to be gfg.

Holster is interesting because of the mod, but it isn't worth much for the same reason. Luger collectors want Luger holsters that haven't been mucked with; same with P-38 collectors. this would not please either group. My guess is you would have a hard time getting more than $75 for it. I own one of these that matches yours identically. Other conversations have noted their existence. Let me be the first to offer you $150 for yours. Regards Ken D |
