1895 Nagant revolver
 

Hey! This thing ain't too bad, and the price is right. My father in law got one several years ago, refurbed and looked like new. Terrible trigger pull, single or double action, hard to shoot well. I just got one that has been used more, and it is much, much more agreeable to shoot. Accuracy was very good and to the point of aim. Slowww to reload, and Russian ammo(borrowed from my father in law) is feeble (.22 long rifle class). I need to get some more cartridges. Oh, almost forgot the particulars, 1945 Izhevsk, wood grips, matching numbers, all the accessories, $90.

This gun has been discussed a lot on www.gunboards.com (there is a nagant section if I remember right) some of them use 32 long in theirs? I have meant to buy one also, as the price is very good for nice old guns! :)

This is one I got. Made into a .38cal since Nagant ammo is quite hard to find.

There are two things I don't like about mine; #1 it got three small cuts on the grip that kinda gives me the creaps. #2 It's single aciton only. (In the russian army only officers had double action. SA and DA where often produced in the same factory at the same time)

There is one question I have been wondering about.. the fireing pin can be lower down into an angle that dont strike the cartrige. It that some sort of safety? :confused:
