Odd CZ 27
I have started to collect CZ 27's, I find them interesting and inexpensive.
Here is a link to my collection. http://www.p38guns.com/CZ27.htm I have not posted a picture of this gun on my site yet. Any thoughts about the take down lever? Mark <a href="http://forums.lugerforum.com/lfupload/cz27noserial1_copy1.jpg" target="_fullview"><img src="http://forums.lugerforum.com/lfupload/cz27noserial1_copy1.jpg" width="400" alt="Click for fullsize image" /></a> ADMIN: I thumbed it, just so it doesn't go off of many folks screens, <img border="0" title="" alt="[Wink]" src="wink.gif" /> ed |

No serial number  High polish would indicate early production ?? Any Waffenampts ?? Interesting pistol indeed :D MARK <img border="0" title="" alt="[Wink]" src="wink.gif" /> |
Mark,
The gun has no WaA markings except on the barrel and the only proof is on the barrel as well. I have been told these guns may have been manufactured prior to the "U" guns or even assembled from parts stolen from the factory! I have seen several of the no serial number guns but this one is in the best condition I have seen for this variation. The gun appears to be fired because the slide rail's wear is consistant with the gun being used, but has obviously never been put in a holster. The take down lever is made more like a watch part than a gun part. The cylinder has a small screw on the end protruding from the tube on a spring and the other end sealed with a screw that has been peened in place, as my photograph illustrates. Mark |
Ya know it's kind of an afront, to be showing this junk on a prestigious forum like this one!
Hey! Mark , How Ya Doin' Bud?? So, that CZ turned out to be an odd one? Only you could have that kind of luck. Probably turn out to be worth a kabillion bucks! Later, Ron |
Ron,
Thanks, if someone offered me half a kabillion I'd consider selling! ..... then again maybe not. I really like the CZ 27's and find them inexpenive to collect with many around in excellent condition. They are also fun to shoot, I bought a high polish that someone took a steel wool pad to for $100.00. I bought it because the grips were perfect and one of my early guns had a thumbnail piece of bakelite missing, now a real nice shooter. My entire collection of CZ 27's is now posted at http://www.p38guns.com/CZ27.htm Mark |
Mark,
Have you found out any more about this one? Any clues as to why the take-down is different? Now I'm gonna have to tear apart every CZ I run across, just to see if it's like that one. Ron |
Ron,
I wish someone would write a book about these guns. Without a researcher who is dedicated to the CZ's anything is possible, including a skilled watchmaker who might have lost a takedown lever! Mark |
Mark,
Your pistol is interesting, specificcally that ``made-up `` lever....I dont know much about those & agree with you that a good reference book would be practical. Only one I have is what I think a very common Variation  It shows a rough late War dull finish... Mark, I do stock CZ pistol parts M22, 24 & 27 including take down levers, if you need one. Bob Berger's inexpensive paper back "know your Czechoslavian pistols" is a good introductory book and about the only one that I know of in English. TH
|
Mark,
Thank you for posting your website, now I can fiqure out what I have. Regards, Hessian |
For some reason the take down lever reminds me of the take down pins on a Swiss Pe 57 or a AMT rifle.

The CZ-27 is a very high quality pistole. I am amazed at the comments I have seen on this forum. I have had the pleasure of owning two of these pistoles. They shoot as well or better than any .32 cal pistole I have ever come across.
