Another great service pistol.....
This John Inglis version of the FN HP was made near the end of WW II.. They are still in service around the world...

Hi John,
Stunning example..... As well, I understand that almost 60 years later, the Inglis is serving overseas with Canadian, British, Australian and troops from NZ (and others I may have missed?). Amazing legacy to an original design (even though there are manufacturing differences between the Inglis and the FN production). It makes one wonder if the current US issue sidearm, the Beretta - (not the venerable 1911, which is still the sidearm of choice for most SPECOPS) can even come close to that design legacy and service life. As for me, I doubt that JMB's designed can truly ever be replaced... My thanks for the excellent photos!!!! John D. |

A very nice example of a JI 9T Series No 2 Mk 1* Pistol...........They are somewhat more common around here.........I've personnally owned a few over the years... John D. You are absolutely right about JMB great design of the GP 35 pistol..........Even the Germans used it & I read somewhere that it was ``the`` choice pistol of SS Troops... Late War 640b WaA 140 proofed......... MARK :) http://forums.lugerforum.com/lfupload/dscn3470.jpg |
John I just picked up a new Hi-Power. I guess great minds think alike. Sure wish I had the spare change for one like yours. Very nice.

Hey Mark..!!!
WOW - that looks like it's in terrific shape!!! Somewhere - I posted a thread about my German WW2 HP RIG, so I'll try to find it again..? But - mine isn't nearly in the condition as yours... I'd invite you to do the same with this piece - as I enjoy these almost as much as my Lugers and Colts - and if I could find a grip slotted Tangent WA proofed - I'd probably enjoy that as much as Lugers and 1911s!!! :) Best to you! Here is a 1941 WaA103 640(b)(Belgien)HP.. Non-slotted...
