Kentucky State Police firearms auctions

This is one of several sales of confiscated firearms by Kentucky State Police. The site is hard to navigate. I noticed one gun which may be a Luger (Item 62).

They have a lot of new S&W .45/s for sale.

This is the new Smith they are selling. I would imagine that they have 900 to 1000 to sell.

Typical beaureaucy Ed. Why the hell did they buy them in the first place. They are presently packing 10mm's and a trooper friend last week said they were going to Glock .40's.

They do a lot of business with Gall's in Lexington and I have long thought something stunk.

Go figure.................

Buy them? A Police agency does not buy these types of guns. They confiscate them. Hopefully from criminal scum. Jerry Burney

Could be the case Jerry. Knowing how they operate, I can't imagine that they would make a blunder like that. However, if they confiscated that amount, I can't believe the BATFE wouldn't be salivating in the shadows with their cutting torches!!!!!! I have personally watched them cut up beautiful weapons that would bring tears to your eyes. They give no quarter on what they cut up. They have two witnesses to the event and of course every serial is recorded. God help any agent that certifies destruction and the serial later surfaces.

Ed, the P9R is most likely the Hungarian-made FEG 9mm. They make a close copy of the Browning Hi-Power and a double action HP look-alike.
