By eliminating the magazine (loading from top like a broom) Wyatt was able to get a "hogged out" single PO8 frame to hold the flat nosed 45acp ammo shown. Martz, one the other hand, welds two PO8 frames together and uses a modified Sig 220 mag.

I also learned something here, Thanks Tom. I have never seen one of these conversions before. Do you have any idea of the production numbers of these two guns?

According to the 21st edition of the Blue Book page 823, John had built 66 including 3 babies at that time, probably a few more by now. John Walter in "The Luger Book" page 286 claims only 49 Wyatts were made.
