By eliminating the magazine (loading from top like a broom) Wyatt was able to get a "hogged out" single PO8 frame to hold the flat nosed 45acp ammo shown. Martz, one the other hand, welds two PO8 frames together and uses a modified Sig 220 mag.

According to the 21st edition of the Blue Book page 823, John had built 66 including 3 babies at that time, probably a few more by now. John Walter in "The Luger Book" page 286 claims only 49 Wyatts were made.
