Luger Carbine

This is not the right place, but I have been in contact with a good friend of mine in Europe and he has a friend who has a nic Luger Carbine for sale. It is a registered piece and he is wanting to sell the pistol probably in the US. I thought that if anyone on the Forum would be interested in this piece, contact me by e-mail and I will get you in contact with the seller. The asking price is $18,000. I don;t have any more information except that it is supposed to be in excellent to mint condition. If anyone is interested, let me know.

Re: Another Luger

I almost forgot about another Luger for sale. This is a 1941 Mauser Banner, Commercial, "Crown N", 7,65mm caliber. All parts blue, no straw, and absolutly MINT. The price on this one is $2,200. Again, this one would have to be imported from Europe. If interested, e-mail me.

A crown over N barrel in a 1941 PO8 is most likely E.German. I would expect a commerical of this period to be Eagle over N proofed.

Re: Another Luger

Tom,

I noticed this also from the e-mail I received from my friend, but I am not that familiar with the Commercials of the period. You are correc that it should be the E/N to be correct. I feel it is the E/N and my friend just made a mistake. I sure would like to have this pistol!

Tom's statement in another post is well put about importing unknow weapons and no recourse if they are as represented. I remember the "flap" several years ago of some pistols being purchased from the US to Europe by a NAPCA member and when received it was not as represented. You must be careful doing this.

Re: Another Luger

I checked with my friend in Europe and the commercial stamp IS an Eagle/N commercial. He also stted that the 1941 Luger is MINT condition. The wood grip checkering is perfect! Just wanted to clear this up and a THANKS for Tom calling to to my attention.
