Mauser Parabellum P-08 - bent extractor

I was showing my Mauser last night and I noticed that the right side of the extractor, viewed from the outside, is bent outward a little bit. Don't tell me the extractor is going to break in this one, too.

Are you sure it is seated properly?

Does it look like it's axially twisted (rotated along the long axis of the extractor)?

It may be worth removing the pin, and the extractor and spring and checking to see if there is dirt in there twisting the extractor to one side.

Do you mean "extractor" (located in the breechblock) or "ejector" (located on the right side of the receiver)? Ejectors will sometimes exhibit a bit of a "bow" which may or may not indicate a replacement or forced (improper) installation. They usually still function OK.

Both parts are not numbered on a Mauser Parabellum, so if either one would break, it's not a big issue.

Ejector. I meant to write. I will make sure it is clean.

Ejectors: It is sometimes difficult the get the middle tab to snap in. That would cause the bow. If the back, round button is in, push the triangular tab from the inside. Almost flush with the receiver. Then push really hard on the middle of the ejector. I love wooden chop sticks...
