Richard,

Divide the "price realized" by 1.15.

Or, in other words, the hammer price times 1.15 equals the realized price.

No, but I thought you were commenting on those three Lugers, and you didn't show the 'price realized' for those three. So I was curious, and looked. :)

Most prices seem to have gone higher than estimated; ten higher, seven as estimated, two lower. So the value of Krieghoffs is going up??? Update your insurance! :p

I actually was thinking 'hammer price' (final bid). But the 'price realized' is good too. :)

The RIA FAQ isn't too clear on whether the 'estimated price' includes the 15% auction fee.

The more modest priced was a dural frame "prototype" and the other was a known engraved presentation piece.

Thanks George ,

Curiosity was getting the best of me wondering if the spendier one was a super minty 1938 or 1941 .

Congrats on your sales .

Dave

Dave, here are a few photos of it. It was the property of Auslands Gauleiter Boehle.

RichSr 08-15-2017 03:32 PM

I remember Tom was quite proud acquiring that one.

rhuff 08-16-2017 02:55 PM

George, do you have pics of the Dural frame Luger??? Is there anything distinctive about the Dural frame that would get a casual browsers attention immediately??? :)

It's not easy to trade these expensive guns in short term, unless you get them very cheap, If you do get them very cheap, say, acquired a retail $8,000 gun at $2800 (i.e. 65% off), RIAC sell it for you at its retail price $8000, Original seller as a gun provider earns 1/3 ($2800), you as a middle man earn 1/3 ($2600), and RIAC as a service provider earns 1/3 ($2600). All three parties paid by the new owner.
