Matching S/N 15965 (1918), First year of Swiss production, 90% cond. excellent bore. No P release, no import marks. Someone on this Forum (can't remember who ) stated "If it's made after 1918...it's a reproduction" I assume this one is genuine :D

Beautiful gun...looks genuine to me! I have #15640, probably made within days of yours. I will take the blame for the "1918" remark! :)

A beautiful Swiss Luger. Thanx for showing it to us.

The pistol looks good - the holster is from a Model 06/29

Holster is dated 42 and is military marked. Came with the pistol.

There is something quite fine about the way the Swiss made Lugers. And don't forget, the Germans were doing their best to impress the Swiss before the war forced production to move to Bern.

Yes - the Swiss live in a Parabellum universe...

Here's my Swiss "repro" (serial #16643). Probably a 1919 build. This one is in the final stage of a redo; Ted (Thor) is rebluing the receiver and barrel and aging it slightly to match the frame. Nothing like a Swiss repro!

A very nice Bern Luger. Mine does not have the small Swiss cross just above the trigger guard. Thanks for showing.

As the swiss said , they don't make lugers , only parabellum !
