Swiss 06/29 safety removal

Will someone please tell me how to remove the thumb safety from the frame of a 06/29 Swiss Luger?

Thanks...Harley

Look inside the frame for a pin behind the safety lever. By driving this pin out, the safety can be removed. There is a very nice graphic of this floating around the site somewhere. Hopefully, someone with access will post it.

Doug,
The 06/29 doesn't have a pin...that is one of the many changes made in that model. On the 06/29 you have to rotate the safety lever down until it clears the frame, then you can lift it out.
That was my graphic. Thanks for the compliment! :)

just curious, why take it out :)

Thank you Ron. As to Ed's question....No reason for removal at present but should the need arise I don't want to be stranded lhigh and dry.

Thanks to both of you.

Hey Ron, what software did you use to make that sketch?

You aren't going to believe this, but I used PowerPoint drawing tool and constructed the image point by point, so it was essentially free-hand. I used to have more patience than good sense...now both are in deficit! :)
