Interarms '08 Models
 

I have been looking for this particular model for a while now. It seems that the short barrel '08 model is particularly hard to find. This one showed up on GB today:

I probably paid to much for it, but how often do they show up for sale?

To me, the 08 model is much more desirable than this one:

and the Swiss 4" and 6" models seems to be more common than the 08.

Thoughts anyone?

Yes, I would like to own all of the variations of these. Excluding the commeratives, I think there are about 9-10 of the "plain" models if you consider calibers and barrel length. I am on the hunt for the 4.75-5 inch barrel length. I have only seen 2 of these, one that was NIB and the other that was gently used without acc. Both of these were in 7.65mm.

Yes, I do not like the look of the Swiss design, very inelegant to me.

Prefer the 08 type design.

I have one of these, need to buy a 6 inch american eagle :)

This one is still my favorite: assembled from parts that didn't make series production.

I like that one Vlim, no checkering on the td or the safety and smooth toggle knobs. Definitely different.

I saw a Mauser catalog once that had pictures of one of these so I know it is legitimate. But the seller had no feedback and the photos seemed like glamor shots from an arms auction site. I asked a question but somebody bid on the item so the seller never answered me.

Today I received a curious email from the no feedback seller, which read as follows:

"As you probably noticed, this weapon has sold. Thank you for your interest. I hope to have something else you would be interested in purchasing."

Now I am sure I was right to abstain from this auction.

The matte hard chromed version is definitely legit and rare.

The 'dog' is interesting too. It has Ulm proofs, but Interarms specs (AE + Interarms logo). This is one of a very small number of pistols ordered by Interarms after termination of the original contract.

The "Dog' seems to be in good, original shape. A correct set of grips instead of the over varnished smoothies it sports would do this pistol's looks a world of good.
The metal seems fine.

Gunboards links come up with errors, probably a site glitch of some sort. Can you post some photos on the forum directly?

I'm with Alan on the 'dog'. Small problems that can easily be rectified.

And the frame is a 'SAFE' marked variation with the old, Swiss, opening curve.

Series production on top, the 'anomaly' at the bottom :)

Somebody, give the 'dog' a new home!

I wouldn't mind having it either, my wife wouldn't be to happy though. I haven't told her yet about the other one. It would be a good shooter.

Hi, that would be about 1975.

The 'dog' will look much better with the original grips in place. No need for refinishing.

The dog did not sell. The seller listed it again for $800.00 but then ended the auction.
