can someone tell if the serial no. on the gun is wrong for that year I think it should be higher I but could be wrong

Aren't commercials supposed to have sns on the side plate? And how in hades would you know that this is a gun included in those thousands that were gathered up and sent to Germany for rework?

The standard serial number placement on a commercial was on the bottom edge of the sideplate. I think he is indicating the serial number of the pistol to be 452 (L). Always buy the pistol and not the story as his story doesn't add anything to the value of the pistol whether factual or not.
