unique snail drum loader; need help with identification

I'm selling this for a friend and unfortunately his deceased cousin does not have any details.

Yes, it's a snail drum loader, but the manufacture is crude and the mechanism is unique. Can anybody help out with identification details??

Thanks in advance!

Hi Steve,
I'm guessing it's a loading tool converted to an unloading tool. During the Weimar period a need was felt for such tools as police armorers did not want drums to remain loaded as it would weaken their springs. During the war of course, drums were unloaded by shooting at the enemy.

That is indeed what it is, an "un-loader".
Vintage and originality ???

Maybe it was made in the Khyber Pass...

Thank you, Norm and Don!

A UNloading tool I never would have guessed and that does indeed, make it unique. Thanks so much for enlightening me; I'm a RKI about guns but this never would have occurred to me!
