Shooting a Luger with Syntech ammo safe?

Hello everyone, I wanted to ask if it's safe to shoot 124 grain Syntech "lipstick" fmj from a vintage Luger?

I bought the ammo to try out as I like the idea of the ammo reducing lead and copper fouling but I wanted to hear everyone's thoughts if it's safe to use in the gun. Thanks

Brandon,

I have used 115 grain, polymer coated (lipstick) bullets in lugers without a problem. The problem I have had is that they require more care to reload due to the tendency of the coating to chip off.

Hello,

I don't intend to reload it but I do want to make sure 124 grain isn't to hot on the the toggle. I wanted 115 grain but I think 124 is all he had left in stock.

If it is to hot to shoot in a Luger I will save it for something else I have to plink with in 9mm.

Should be, usually the specs are lower on the 124 when it comes to muzzle velocity so basically a wash...
