Baby Borchardt

The Borchardt C93 pistol cased. This is a 1:2 scale miniature made by MiniArt in Russia. It functions and disassembles just like the full size model. It cycles brass cartridges from the magazine through the action. The stock/holster and accessories in a fitted case.

Fun stuff!

And it only costs, what? The price of a new Mercedes??? :(

Wow, that is nice! As an owner of a cased Borchardt, I am also curious as to what the price tag is for this miniature companion piece. I suspect it is significant. :)

MiniArt was located in Moscow, Russia until closing their doors in the 90's. They made the Borchardt in small numbers in both 1:2 and 1:3 scale. They do pop up for sale now and then. Price can vary but $3-4k is typical for a complete cased set.

Fully functional mini guns?

Great. Is it fully functional?

There,s Russian company called Arsenal: http://www.arsenalfirearms.com/about.html

They make fully functional 1/2-1/3 scale weapons, including full auto.

It is fully functional but not considered a firearm. The barrel bore is open. But no rifling or chamber cut. There are no live miniature cartridges available only brass dummies. There are/were Russian miniature firearms makers that did design live cartridges to function in their miniature firearms. Those live miniature models were determined to be illegal by the Russian authorities and confiscated. See link https://life.ru/p/176570

This article in Russian exactly refers to the Arsenal Firearms I have mentioned.
Its a shame that the Russian government went after them , perhaps they didn't want to share profit[pay off some bureaucrats ] for selling their miniatures for $50k each. Typical Russian style extortion.
Additionally, the video I posted shows them mingling with 'Americans'- and in the current Russian -American chilly climate is perhaps a no-no[ KGB-FSB most definitely got involved]

Pathetic bull****.

I also think that he believed that what he was doing was completely legal. He was not building those live miniatures in secret.
As far as live miniatures in the USA. I have seen a few 1:2 Winchesters chambered in 22 short and Thompsons in shortened 25acp. All live, properly papered and legal. I'm sure there are others.
