Advice / education

I'm swimming in deep water so I'm looking for an opinion on this as a shooter.

I am looking for a shootable 9mm mixmaster that it's only qualification is that it MAY have been used in the war.

Overpriced at the buy it now price.

This one had parts used in more than one war. Some from WW-I, others from WW-II...

What is your opinion of where this should sell?

Perhaps $800 if it's a reliable and accurate shooter. Others may value a bit higher.

if I'm correct (completely new to this) but seems the unit marking means its a WW1 lower and the upper being s/42 is WW2. He does state it's mechanically correct and offers a 3 day inspection.

But IMHO the only way I'd pay 900 or over would be for a total match shooter that was worn at or below the 60% but still looked decent.

Anything mismatched is automatically in my 900 and under bucket and even then to upper would have to be matching on the slide and barrels. Firing pin not so much.

Lower mismatched does it fire, operate and lock safety, lock the barrel back with mag.

Passes those test its still a maybe especially if there is anything else collectable around or catching my interest more.

He says it's a Russian capture, that would indicate some war provenance...Looks like wood grips...Sear bar looks like an early/unrelieved one...RCs are mixmasters, but desirable ones...They usually have new barrels...IF this is really an RC...(I have doubts)...

Kind of high for a VoPo/RC...I don't think you'd lose money at start bid of $900 (for a RC)...But the BIN is too high...And the reserve probably is too... :(

I don't think this is an RC...RCs usually show some refinishing, this looks like original wear...And no bullseye VoPo or vertical groove RC grips...

In my area of the Country, a mismatch/shooter like this one would sell for $750-850 depending on what it looks like in your hands.
