Hello again guys, hope all of you are well. Can I get some feed back on this nice condition pigskin 1942 luger holster...how rare are they and are they desirable to own by collectors? Thank you all in advance. Also what can this type of holster in this condition be worth?

Thanks again fellas

I can't answer your questions, but I do want to say that you have a great looking and fine condition holster. The pigskin gives holsters such a unique texture. I love it! I am waiting for the more knowledgeable folks to comment on the rarity and market value.

Nice holster. The lid has an interesting shape, almost looks like it may have been trimmed a bit.

5-6 years ago a holster like this would bring $6-800 Hard to say what today's market might be. Pigskins are very beautiful I think. They can also be a tad fragile in places..the hinge. Pigskin is an inferior leather and over time spots where it has to bend can crack far more so than bovine leather. Just something to watch out for.

I have had quite a few, six at one time, of the exact type of holster pictured... I never spent less then $450.00 to buy, nor sold for over $600.00.... Probably could have tried for more... I wouldn't mind having that one....BTW, loops and straps and even the key pouch are sometimes cow leather?... best to all, til...lat'r...GT....

Yes, the reserve is not met yet. Hmm... me thinks this is going to be an expensive holster.

I agree with GT, I think $450-$600 is a reasonable value, or $125 if offered to me :)

I have had pig skin 'textured' - but have not owned any pig skin Luger Holsters.

I too like the look of them and think the value is closer to the high end and even more in this condition, but as Jerry said, it seems Luger items are not selling as well right now as previous months. Heck I have seen several toggles sell for less than $175, even a $150 one which was for a nice matching toggle...

value?

Hi to all, and Hi Ed! I have also noticed a soft market just lately?.... As I don't know how to gage the economy, I really can't say too much except it seems as if values are falling, and there are a lot of nice examples around... ;).... If course, I only have a lint ball that I can spend! ;)... best to all, til....lat'r...GT.....

Election years tend to affect consumer purchases in general. Perhaps more so with this year's 24/7 circus coverage.

Hi Guys, last bid was 534.00 and still did not meet reserve...Auction is over with no winner...
