1900-1902 Luger grips?

I have a set of what I was told are 1900-1902 Original factory commercial grip safety Luger grips that appear to be in 98% condition, I cannot see any cracks, chips, or worn checkering, and they appear “As New” for supposedly being 110 years old.

Markings of 01 on right grip, and 01 and “D” on left grip.

I picked these up in a trade and was wondering what you think they would be worth if I was to sell them.

Frank, These grips look way too thick to me. They also don't have the early contour on the checkering. I am no grip expert but there are some who will come along an either agree or correct me..

Repo's

You are right Jerry they are way to thick and they are repo's
Thanks George
P.S. Ask Hugh Clark he will tell you.

How thick/thin should they be? who has dimensions at what points on the grips?

Fri. AM, Talked with the guy whom I got these from and he says they came off of an early 1900 american eagle luger.

So, what are the thickness dimensions eluded to here? and for what models/year do these fit?

they look fine to me....just like the matching number ones on my 1900, unless theyre fake too. It has the funny little "crysanthemum" looking stamp, too

Perhaps if you photographed them on edge, as well as on a pistol?

It is tough to tell edge shadows from edge thickness. I agree that more photos, on and off the gun, would help. Other than the thickness issue, I can't see a problem with them.
And they are desirable grips what for the grip safety and all.

A close friend of mine had Mike Krause (Krauswerk collectables) in San mateo, ca. verify that these grips came off of a 1900-1902 commecial luger, and he is thinking of selling them.

He doesnt have internet capabilities and imm just helping him out to define a value, so, here is more photos.

Shadows can be deceiving. The grips look OK to me.

I think you were right.

I f they all were made like the ones on my 1900 AE's,then these are repos. way too thick and they look like they were just recently made too.

unless they made different thickness' and these spent the last 110 years in a box
