On second thought, let's call this one the 'Airbus Luger'. Like the plane, it was built from parts produced all over the European continent.

The sales ad comment of "...however, it is all matching..." must pertain to the fact that the color of the blue is consistent all over the gun...

Odd that there is a swivel on the stock but none along side the metal barrel. Sort of hard to throw that one over your shoulder when heading out for the shooting range...

Heh, the commentary in the ad sounds like it was written by a cagey fraud lawyer, so that the descriptions can mean almost anything.

"...that was manufactured at Waffenfabrik Bern if you accept the toggle as the manufacturer."

"The stock carvings are unique with the scrolling and pattern which suggests that this Luger was a special order."

"Truly a remarkable gun made up for some special order.

The above quotes had me rolling on the floor laughing.

The only honest thing they said was this:
"There were very few of these weapons produced and the majority of them were rebuilt from existing parts or conversions from surplus parts."

That gun is a walking felony, as BATF sure doesn't recognize any of those bastard parts as being a legal stock arrangement.

Amen to that Anna... I don't know who was the "lucky" person who bought that gun, but it is definitely NOT legal as a stocked pistol and certainly doesn't appear on the NFA C&R exemption list. To be legal the gun would have to be registered on a form 4 as a Short Barreled Rifle and the ATF would have to collect $200 for each transfer...

Interesting how phoenix takes steps to protect the photos on his website (not very effective steps by the way), but his website displays a luger animation that was sourced from the Lugerforum technical pages :D without attribution or credit.:mad:

The Phoenix GunBroker listings have fine photographs that can be right-clicked and copied easily, and also links to more photos of the listed gun on their website ... but on their website, the photos are "protected" - right clicking is disabled .... This is inconvenient because not only of the no-copy feature, but also you cannot make a shortcut to the site's specific photo pages showing the gun for easy reference and access later.
There are some good print screen programs available (American Systems Print Screen Deluxe is the one I use) that make it easy to capture any still image showing on the computer screen, as a JPG file, so I have many of those excellent quality pictures saved of interesting Lugers and close-ups of them, from the Phoenix site. Just for my own reference.

The "disabled right-click and save feature is just an inconvenience to anyone who wants the photos and doesn[t understand Internet Explorer...

go to any page on the internet where there are photos that you want to possess...

Use the File > Save As menu to save the page as a Web page, Complete(*.htm; *.html) and when you save the page to your hard drive you will find the HTML file and a also a file folder by the same name containing the photos on that page... Just move the photos to anyplace you want to store them and then delete either the HTML file or the Folder of the same name and both will be deleted but you will still have the photos...

Although I am somewhat familiar with the controls of IE, I'm always willing to consider alternatives, thank you for the suggestion. It works fine, and is especially useful for saving the entire set of photos on the address, but if all you want is one or two photos, the method described in saving the page and then pulling out the excess files, or moving them and deleting the remaining folder is more cumbersome, and still doesn't accomplish the cropping feature that the Print Screen program's method provides. Both methods are useful when respectively appropriate.
