New Luger?

Hello

Is this a new Luger? I would realy like to know more about this gun.

Yes, that's a late model Mauser (1970s vintage).Probably made in 1972.
I think that this is the P.08 military style - no grip safety.
They also made a Swiss style.

Good looking luger - excellent finish. You can figure out the manufacturing date with the serial number, but I can't read it, other than the "11", which would make it a 9mm.

I think it may be one of a batch mauser made using original parts before they tooled up to make the new ones. I forget where I herd of these, and Notice slick back, long sear, original safe lever. Someone with more knowledge of the later Mauser manufacture than I will probably chime in on this one. Frame and receiver seem to have new manufacture features. It is quite interesting, and I would like to hear from Maurio, or Mark, on this one.

Mauro has the "key" to the serial numbers........

This is a tough one, but all of the Interarms Mausers that I can find had the grip safety, so it appears that this one is altered to remove the grip safety, non-correct grips are added and this all leaves the safety "up-side down". Plus the actual safety lever looks like a non-Interarms part.
