Mismatch Artillery Luger Value.
8 Attachment(s)
I am looking at buying an Artillery Luger. The numbers are all mismatched, the frame, toggle, and barrel don't match each other. I also think the frame was originally a police Luger by the cut out for the Magazine safety. I am only really looking for a shooter, and was wondering what such a gun may be worth. Before I noticed that all of these things were mismatched, and the description didn't mention it either, I ended up with a bid of $1150 on it. I was wondering if you think if the gun is worth this, or am I stuck?

I think you are at the absolute top price I would pay for a mismatched Artie shooter Luger, but if you stay put there, you can't be seriously hurt.
The finish is at least original and yes, that is a police frame on the gun. |
If it is a good reliable shooter, then that price is in the ballpark for my part of the Country. You can shoot it all that you want with no worry about breaking a matching part.

I think what bothers me more than anything is that they never mentioned that it was, or wasn't a matching number gun, and that they never showed the front of the frame in the pictures to be able to see for myself.

The 8" barrel with the tangent rear sight adds about $500 to the price of a normal 4" barrelled, mismatched 9mm shooter PO8. TH

It would go for $200 - $300 more in my area... |
I guess that it might not be that bad of a price then.

I don't recall seeing an artillery go that cheap for some time, expecially one that is not over-buffed and reblued. If it shoots well, and if you can live with the major mismatch issue, then you have yourself a shooter. Or some decent trading stock to move once a better one comes along.

It wouldn't be the first "Frankengun" I've owned. I've never let it bother me in a shooter before. I think I just wanted to ease my mind more than anything that I didn't make a major "oops"
