Luger rebuild

Well I finished the rebuild of the 1918 DWM that had gone through a fire. The test firing went well except for one thing. The trigger had to be pushed foreward after each shot. Is the problem in the sear or in the toggle between the trigger and the sear. Any advice would be appreciated.

Did you replace the spring behind the trigger? If not it probably lost its tension.

Yes I replaced every spring and the two axle pins.

Jim, Your problem is probably the trigger lever. You need one that allows the disconnector to push it out of the way, when you release the trigger. It could also be that your disconnector spring (inside the trigger bar) is weak. Tom h

You are probably right about the disconnect spring the replacement spring seemed weak when I installed it. I apreciate your kind advice.
