Terry and I were discuusing serial numbers last year on his annual visit to me.
I emailed him a week ago about Krieg numbers and this is his reply that he wanted me to post for him.

Afternoon, Joe old floon.
Got news for ya.The National Firearms Collection,FCA, co-located with the Royal Armouries in Leeds Yorkshire UK does not have Krieghooff #1, but Erfurt # 1 - simply that - no zeros, just 1.

However I would be grateful if you could post the following Krieghoff for me in the form of this post-

Gentlemen, in response to a request from Joe Evans, I have contacted the FCA to obtain their serial numbers on your behalf. thanks are due to the senior curator, Mr. Mark Murray-Flutter, for his much appreciated help.

The first number is the FCA acquisition register number, then the year of manufacture, type pf weapon, then the serial number.
