Oh darn - I would except I'm in the final bidding for a Singer 1911! :roflmao:
Seriously, what a nice example - but WAAAY over my pay grade! Are you buying, selling, or just admiring? |
Just passing it along for educational purposes. Way over my pay-grade too.

. Magazine is also correct original type with a deep blue finish, bakelite bottom and unmarked. I don't think so! Double pinned rolled crimp..brown bottom?

I don't believe a bakelite plastic mag is correct. Below is a picture of the 1940 model in Gibsons' book. I included my 1937 for comparison~~Eric

Other then the mag bottom does anyone see anything else wrong with this pistol?

Lonnie I don't on its' face and although do I own one I can't be the final word! It resembles mine except for the date. All the proofs look correct. I'll post pictures of any questionable issue areas if requested. My only concern is the mag. I paid over 10k for mine with double matching. Without at least one matching mag it loses its value. Any replacement would be technically incorrect. I figured I will only own one Kriegoff and waited till I could afford what I believe was the finest . Its a nice gun as offered!! Mr Simpson has a 1936 with one matching mag for $12,600 and one with none $8k.. Heres another sale with one mag! http://shop.pre98.com/product.sc?productId=1052 Its as east a wonderful gun at any price!! Some selles accept payments. Thats how I bought all of mine!
