Mauser '70 cut away
Dear friends,
have you an idea concerning how many cut away pistol Mauser made in the 1970-85? Thanks Ciao |
Mauro,
According to THE MAUSER PARABELLUM by Francis C. Allen: "Interarms requested Mauser to supply 100 Cutaways. These were fitted with either 4 inch or 6 inch barrels. All of these initial cutaways were based on the Swiss Model but at a later date some P08 Models were made and a few were satin chrome plated." The book indicates that they were made in both 7.65 & 9 mm, but doesn't say how many of each. It also indicates that some were marked "Safe" and some were marked "Gesichert". |
Thank you Hugh for your reply.
Have you any idea about the price Interarms sold these models? In your understandig what is the current price of this particular pistol? Thanks Ciao |
Mauro,
I have no idea what these sold for originally. Allen lists them as produced for "sales promotion" purposes, so it is possible that they were given to certain favored customers by Interarms rather than being sold. I have never seen one for sale, so do not know what one is worth today. Maybe someone on the Forum knows and can post an answer. |
This one was for sale the other day and I seriously considered purchasing it.
