Re: photos 1920 navy
Looks like rework proofs ( 1920 period ) to me. Is the gun a double dated.....

New gun
Hi,
Looks like the acceptance marks found on New Manufactured DWM Lugers dated 1920 or 1921. These were in a special contract and were either for the Weimar army or the Weimar police, and are in the "no suffix", "a", or "b" blocks. Have never heard of a navy with these proofs. Usually these have some sort of property mark on the front grip strap. |
Re: New gun
thanks for the info....serial has no suffix...#4250...1920 on chamber...no gripstrap marks...was picked up in ww11 ...by vet who was at u boat base there...why rcmp(responsable for gun registration in canada)would put navy on registration certificate is unknown!!!
