Real Or Not...?

This early HK toggle link for sale/auction...

http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll...&category=4078

Seems oddly "crooked" for a type B-2 die (I think...as I am not near my Gibson book...) and isn't there usually the last 2-digits of the serial number on the lower part of the toggle's surface...?

Regards,

Pete... <img border="0" alt="[typing]" title="" src="graemlins/yltype.gif" />

Hi Pete,

Nope - don't touch it. It looks like a mongrel "B-1/B-2" die type - and here is the problem I can see from the cruddy photo.....

The Dagger is the wrong type for a B-1 so maybe a B-2?;

Nope - the "U" is incorrect for a "B-2"...

Aside from the fact - it's OFF CENTER!!! :) Heh...!!!

Run, run run... <img border="0" title="" alt="[Wink]" src="wink.gif" />

Sorry - I missed this part of the question......

Only on "G" and Early "S". That was dropped in the "Mid-S" - when HK went to a different marking location (hence - one of the differences between an "Early" and "Mid" S series. As you know - "Late" S series had an entirely different toggle stamp then seen as either a "B-1" or a "B-2".

Best to you!
