OT: Butterfly knife

Hey guys, delve into the deep recesses of your militaria consciousness. Was there ever a german butterfly paratrooper knife? I would love to prove a guy wrong. In the book "Devil's Brigade" the Waffen SS author clearly states that upon surrender many of his soldiers kept their gravity and butterfly knives. Please give me some proof.

All references to the butterfly knife I can remember seeing regarded it as a "fantasy" piece.

I think Tom is correct about the butterfly knife being fake, but German paratroopers did carry gravity knives. American paratroopers carried push-button (switchblade) knives, not for use as a weapon, but to cut parachute shrouds if they became tangled in tree limbs.
