Carbine by Eugene/Lugerman?
 

I've been so wrapped up in my own Gonzo carbines that I've lost track of whether Eugene is still making his and whether anyone since Ed has ordered/taken delivery of one...

I think I remember Eugene saying he only planned on five carbines a year. But then he stopped...

Anyone have a Lugerman carbine on order? Anyone since Ed received their carbine?

Ed's two carbine threads are closed or I would have posted in the long one, as that's where all the information is.

Luger Carbine Conversion
Service includes a complete fully assembled and tested conversion.
16.5 inch 9mm Luger barrel. Front ramp sight and reproduction carbine 4 position rear
site. Forward grip attaching iron and wood forearm with cross bar pin for forearm
attachment and brass wood inserts. Rear detachable carbine style stock. Checkering on

I don't know who made that 'handguard', but it doesn't look like any Luger handguard I've ever seen...It looks more like the wood trim on the bottom of my swivel office chair... :roflmao:

It looks to me like the kind of hand guard that Numrich (gun parts corp) uses to supply with their 16 inch barrels. Check your old catalogs...

I have my #14 & #15 catalogs open right now (I've posted the pics here before) and the Numrich handguards don't look anything like the eBay 'handguard'. Numrich's handguard is a long tapering Schnabel-tipped forearm (maybe 14" OAL) with a central band for mounting. The rear end is rounded and stops short of the frame. Front tip stops just behind the front sight band.

When Hugh posted, I thought "Hey! A Numrich forearm would be easy to modify for a custom Luger carbine!". But whatever that eBay wood piece is, it doesn't look like anything anyone would want on their Luger. :(

I think I've seen this referred to as "Mannlicher style".

This is not a Numrich, but this is the style that they sold. Tapered, Schnabel tip. The Numrich had no checkering and had the center band for attachment. the Numrich didn't mount on the frame lug either so it wasn't as 'fat'. :D

They might still sell it. I haven't checked in years.
