1937 Dutch Navy

I have posted high resolution photos of my 1937 Dutch Navy Mauser Banner Luger SN 2259, all correct per pp. 387-391 of the spectacular Mauser Luger catalogue by Don Hallock and Joop van de Kant.

The images are very large. Please click first on a thumbnail photo, then on the scaled-down preview. I would be very grateful for any critique of my technique and its subject.

Great gun and excellent photography. The photos are super crisp.

I currently oversee 1939 #2522v. Mine has "Geladen" On both sides of the extractor, and the grip strap is marked "K.M."

This sounds unbelievable, but I picked it up at an estate auction where the auctioneer called it "A Luger with rust". The bidding understandably therefore wasn't very spirited and fortunately I realized what it was on solely because of Vlim's signature: "Dutch Lugers usually have rust on them"!

Will try to take some photos and post soon...

That's exactly why I haven't bought any Lugers lately - I saw Ron's sig and realized that all the Lugers I saw for sale lately were reproductions...
