1900 Swiss Military on Simpsons LTD

Hey Pete, There's a 1900 Swiss Military on the "What's New" list at Simpsons, with the serial number #26xx. It has the "million dollar" chip out of the left grip plate. It also has the third type of safety lever and no serial numbers on the right side of the magazine catch or take down lever. I was under the impression that such a low serialed Swiss Military should have the second type of sefety lever AND numbers on those strawed parts. Could the gun be mis-numbered, or what? The catalog list is SW-44.

Hi Doc,

Not sure abut this one...

It would be reasonable to assume a few parts on a luger would be replaced with wear/tear during its 100 year life...

A while back, they had a military M1900 in the 38xx series with the 1st type thumb safety lever...as well.

Regards,

Pete...:typing:

A very reasonable conclusion, Pete. If only these things could talk!

They can talk but with a limited vocabulary only ;)

Thanks,
Guisan. :)
