Here a DWM 00/06 commercial for Switzerland that I got few month ago.

That's a beautiful '06. I really like the cross in sunburst over the chamber.

Do you or anyone know the story with the shield imbedded in the left grip? What does it say? I think the bottom line reads, "Zurich"?

Yes, I guess is the dealer too.
It reads "J.Locher Zurich" Did a search but did not find anything. |

That is a sweet gun, and the grip shield is very nicely done. I have a few Swiss and this one would fit right in. You can be justifiably proud of it.

Which ones are better, Swiss or German?
Very nice.
Is it true that Swiss lugers[manufactured by them] even the 'simplified' models are better quality guns than German ones? |
A very good looking piece!! Congrats

In order to make such exquisite firearms, a requirement might have been the ability to back up to a wall and pull out a brick. |
I think J. Locher is the name of the owner - it does not look like a dealer address
|
I think Alexander (Stucki) is probably correct, I doubt that it is a dealer marking. There is a possibility that the gun, or at least the shield applied to the grip, is a shooting prize.

Yes, that is very possible.

War severely stressed many facets of the German manufacturing process however. Nice score flydive ... beautiful gun ;) |
The color of the extractor is curious!
