A Happy New Year......

to all the folks on the LugerForum..!!!

May 2003 be the year you find that "special" Luger that you'll cherish forever..... (Of course - if you collect Navy Lugers - you are out of luck, as Tom A. already owns the Navy of your dreams )

God Speed, and thanks to all of you for the memories made over the past years.... This is quite the community. Jen's and my thanks for letting us share a small part of it.

John Dunkle

May the Luger Forum shine and grow in the New Year. Along with at least one new forum we can all share in the growth, friendship and sharing of knowledge and experience to enrich us all. Happy New Year to all the Luger lovers on this great Forum!

To All The Forum Members,
Thanks to each and every one of you,for The Prayers and Encouragement which you have extended my way over the past fifteen months.
You have encouraged me and pulled me forward out of the abyss of dispair, The ALMIGHTY has heard your Prayers and pulled me through three operations and a nasty bout with a very serious case of Pneumonia.
Two of our members, "Schwob & John S.", have reached out to me with encouragement and trust to give me a rehabilitation project and a goal to strive for which was a challenge to me in the long months of recovery.
This along with thew general fellowship on the Forum have pulled me through some very "Iffy" times.
And John D.,
Without this Forum provided by you, Who knows where I would be today.
You have provided me with a communication medium from which I have dwawn much strength.
KEEP IT UP JOHN D. WITHOUT YOUR SUPPORT WE ALL WOULD BE FAR APART AND DEVIDED ONE FROM ANOTHER WITHOUT MEANS OF MEETING AND COMMUNICATION !!

ViggoG with a Toast To YOU J,D.

To all of the Forum Members,

It's hard to follow the above acts, but you are great people and it's a blessing to have a forum like this. I spend a lot of time reviewing the various posts and have been surprised and impressed by the knowledge and help you have offered to this old shooter.

Thanks a lot. Have a happy new year. I'll try not to do too much underwater shooting this year, but I will enjoy my Lugers knowing that I can get help for them if I need it. How else could I enjoy expensive 80 to 90 year old neeeeeat German hardware with confidence?

A belated Happy New Year to all the members of the Lugerforum and their families... I have been unavailable for the last 48 hours...

May God bless each and every one of you this year beyond your dreams...

John D. 01-02-2003 03:03 PM

Wow... I'm a little taken aback by all the well-wishes, too..! In fact - you folks have almost left me speechless (Notice I said almost )

This Forum really is an amazing community, and frankly - any Luger collector/enthusiast should be well served by this Forum and Jan's new German Lugers, Central Powers & Axis Pistols Forum - and I suspect, many will be posting to both Forums. May both Forums prosper and continue to grow..!

Also - when Jan's site goes from the current test stage to production - we'll be adding it into our "links" section as well (or I'll add it now, but will the existing URL change when it goes into production?)....

Best to all for an outstanding 2003!!!

Hey - anyone have any good New Years Resolutions? I need a spare - as already I broke my Resolution yesterday

Pete Ebbink 01-03-2003 02:12 PM

My resolution is to :

Buy both a 1908 Bergman-Bayard pistol and a 1936 Walther Olympia pistol this year...

I haven't exactly told my wife, Eydie, this yet...

Belated Happy New Year to all !

Pete...
