How did this get missed?

I thought that for the sellers asking price of $1000 I'd take a chance. Seller offered a 3 day inspection, but I think I'm going to keep it. Really a damn nice gun 110% matching and aside from the pepper pitting here and there very nice. What do you think?

Definately an exc buy at $1000. Probably half of normal retail.

Hey Doug,

Is that an original Navy magazine ? Those command a good premium at re-sale...

tracyp 06-28-2002 06:38 PM

I'd say for $1000 you did pretty good. That Navy mag is worth at least $200.

Doug G. 06-28-2002 06:47 PM

Unfortunatly the mag that was in the pic and the gun is an older satin nickle Mec Gar. A very good mag though. The pictures the seller posted were not very good and I think it contributed to it's poor showing at auction. I will post some if anyone is interested.

You bet we are interested! Looks like you got a heck of a buy. It took me years to find a 1900 I could afford. They are a great and historic gun. Congratulations!

Here are the pics, I reduced them so that they would be easier to download. I have a cable modem and sometimes forget what it's like to be on a dial up line.
