Welcome to the forum, Miroslav. I'll suggest that this post be moved to create its own thread because it seems like a separate issue altogether, other than it happens to be another 1940 Mauser. Your questions will get the individual attention they deserve!

A set of clear pics is the first step one ought to make, and although what is provided shows quite a bit of the pistol, they are tiny, thus not optimal for allowing us to assess your gun here online. Check the "stickies" in the new member section to find info about how to take good Luger pics, and what pics to take.

Posting the pics directly on the forum's servers is also very important. They won't be deleted or have their URLs changed, and will remain with the relevant posting for future researchers/members to see in context. Again, there are stickies about how to do this...

The pistol is a well worn Mauser mismatch, (takedown lever shown does not match the balance of the pistol).

The magazine is a scarce Krieghoff magazine and worth additional money to an interested party.

2950v could be a 1940 Dutch contract. Miroslav, is the word "RUST" next to the safety lever?

Moved to it's own thread (Mods)...

So RUST writes, it means that it was made in Holland ...

tharpo 11-03-2017 11:56 AM

If it has RUST next to the safety lever it means it was still made in Germany but to be delivered to Holland. The 1940 contract was never delivered because the Germans invaded.

Could you have a little tip around this tube? Is it safe to shoot out of it.?

The bore shows some corrosion and pitting, but that will not make it unsafe to shoot. Many of us here own Lugers with less than perfect bores, and shoot them with no safety concerns......actually, many/most of these bores still shoot excellent.

Bore looks safe to me. Some FMJ bullets will probably improve it.
