where to obtain parts

Hope this is where I ask this/ Are all hold open latches interchangeable on the P08. Anyone have one fore sale? Mine is broken. Can I fire this gun with the hold open latch removed?
Thanks for any help.

ted, I moved your posting to its own posting and also subscribed you to it, so you can get notifications.

Yes, you can fire without a hold open, it just won't hold open.

Is the hold open broken, or is the spring? I have had more than one where the spring attaches be bent and one was broken.

Hold open

Ed,
Thanks for yor timely response.
Question are all P08 hold opens interchangeable?
The spring is ok the tab on the hold open is broken off.
I got the drawings from the Luger book and I know a machinist who said he will try making me one.
I'll let you know how I make out.

I've never tried interchanging hold-opens, but I'm suspecting that the DWM would interchange with DWM, the Mauser will intchange with Mauser, etc. But for all I know they will ALL interchange.
On this site the go-to guy for parts is the "LugerDoc". Or put an ad below under "Wanted" and I'll bet you'll get responses. Or check good ol' E-bay or Gunbroker.com. They are out there.

You can. And you should, it won't risk breaking anymore.
