Real or fake Tool?
5 Attachment(s)
Hi to all,
Would just like to say what a fine forum the admin, moderators and members have created here. I was at a military fair recently and bought this loading tool. There are many copies around so I have my fingers crossed. Would anyone be able to provide me with their opinions. The Insp stamp is very shallow so I chalked it. Any help would be greatly appreciated. This is my first post so I hope that the photo’s are OK. |
Looks good to me. David

Photos can be difficult to judge, but it also appears to me to be a genuine tool.

Thanks guys for taking the time to help me out.

Typical stick winged E/ 63 tool. There are 4 different sizes. This one seems to be type 2 (2,3 mm high acceptance mark).

I know *nothing* about these tools, but with that amount of pitting/wear, and with the waffenamt, I would take a chance...for a reasonable amount, of course... :D
123 - in your second pic, the hole appears to have a bit of "kerf" on one edge...Is that right??? |
Hi Rich, That "kerf" you see is an important part of the tool's design. It's a flange that slips under the magazine follower button, holding the tool in place during loading. Regards, Norm
