Eric's Public Service Announcement
Instead of waiting in long lines, your local family doctor in most cases can give you and loved one the shot at no charge in office. They also give you a card to verify you had your shot! Your attitude toward this virus will change! One less thing to worry about!
|
not here in N.J. only large chain pharmacies + state run clinics - state refuses to distribute to small neighborhood pharmacies + doctors -
|
I'm glad I let NJ for Florida in 1981! Garden State, my butt! PS No state tax in Florida!
|
current governor had ties to pharma industry ! -
|
I suggest everyone call their own doctor first. We did and got in 3 days, no matter what state!
|
definitely not in N.J. - my primary care physicians + specialists all had to go to hospitals or CVS to get the shots -
|
Local doctors no way here - they had a convoluted system of age, etc, event eh VA, it was 75 locally, 65 150 miles away and 55 yrs old 180 miles away.
Recently they changed all of it (1 April, 16 and up with med conditions, and ages 60 and up). It is definitely state by state, which makes no sense, although many people like their state to be independent, for this, it should have been handled by the gov't. Get your shot, then we can have gun shows again... |

That sucks!THATS WHY PEOPLE ARE MOVING HERE! WE JUST SOLD OURS FOR A LAKE FRONT FOR UNDER 90K!!
|
Few (if any) doctors around here have the refrigeration facilities to store the vaccine(s). :(
Even some hospitals don't. I've been assigned a POD but whenever I check the site, it's NO APPOINTMENTS AVAILABLE. Also, vaccine is not arriving in the quantities that the Feds say it is. PODs are announcing vaccine arrivals and taking appointments and then they have to retract and cancel. Real clusterfuck. ;) |
Good Point, we get our second shot next week. Although it doesn't seem to be a problem, I will ask my doctor! It may depend on the brand!
|
My brand Pfiser has to be stored in dry ice .I'm told of a new brand that does not need it! I just talked to our sheriff friend who directed you all to call your your local Department of Health or do a search for your states' Dept of Health! There has to be instructions or maybe forms! Try to get on a list! if possible~

The local paper posted that only 19% of those eligible have been vaccinated. They also quoted Biden's office as saying that sufficient stockpiles of vaccine have been reached and we can now consider exporting some to Canada and other countries. Yay! The pandemic's over! All hail Biden! Here in my rural area, we're still on track to get vaccinated by February 2022. No one I know has gotten vaccinated. |
And idiot president is bragging that thanks to him its going smooth and meeting our needs!
|
The problems seems to be more with State Management than Federal. I have had both shots. Next week in Montana anyone 16 and older may sign up. Getting vaccine does not seem to be a problem. Bill

thousands of doses sent to Mexico this past week at U.S. taxpayers expense while many seniors like my family have been waiting for 3 months -

Every day it all seems to get worse!!!!!

Covid Vaccines
The 4000 doses of vaccine sent to Mexico and Canada are the ones from Astra Zenaka which is not approved for use in the states but in many other countries. These are said to be a loan. There is a large inventory of this vaccine in storage in the states waiting for approval.

Covid is a global problem and needs to be fought globally or we will never be rid of it and return to a 'normal' society.
While every country must look after its own citizens you can also help in the global fight too. Canada, like the USA looks after its citizens while not forgetting to share with other global communities. Its a matter of supply and balance. It does you no good to vaccinate only your population if the whole world is sick ... new strains are mutating daily that your vaccine may not offer effective protection for. Global problems require global solutions. |
Supply and Demand!

Quote:
Then why not let the Mexico and Canada PAY us for them? Vaccines on loan? That sounds like foolishness to me! Sieger |
Quote:
Fine, but how about being paid for them? Canada and Mexico seem to have plenty of cash available after Trump's new trade agreement. Sieger |
China should pay for it all!!!
|
Canada HAS already paid for them but from AstraZeneca India.
AstraZeneca is back logged with production orders from all over the world so in an agreement with AstraZeneca America and your POTUS it was decided (by your president) that the USA would 'loan' the back ordered doses to Canada in order to save lives by getting the vaccine into your fellow mans arms ASAP. Once India has caught up on the Canadian back order the 'doses' would be shipped to the USA not Canada thus paying back the loan. No money was ever lost here Sieger ... it is simple slight of hand. A way to speed up needed medical attention for friends . In the end this is just political smoke and mirrors to cover the fact that political adversaries would use this human gesture to weaponize against your POTUS's good deed. JMHO |
Quote:
Of course you are welcome to your own opinion, but on the other hand, so am I. I suppose you think that our POTUS is a great friend of Canada, and is so willing to do good deeds for you (our fellow man). What about the hundreds of billions of dollars he so quickly denied Canada when he cancelled your pipeline? And no, i don't believe in the "Global Warming Theory" either, despite what our socialist "believe" is so apparently true. India has the second largest population in the world, so yes, no doubt, they have their own back orders to catch up on. Do we need yet another additional vaccine approved for U.S. distribution? Obviously not, according to Biden's press conference of this week. Sieger |
Quote:
No ... I do not like your President but I don't like Trudeau either. No ... I am not a socialist. Global warming ?? who knows but I think its just a normal earth cycle ... but I reserve the right to be wrong. Anyway at my age I don't really care. You are accusing Canada as somehow being responsible for YOUR presidents actions ... that we have somehow stolen from you personally !!! I have merely pointed out to you why I think Biden did what he did. Not defending him because again ... I DON'T CARE. I have NO issue with you and I don't want one either. Peace brother :) I just want to talk about Lugers. |
Luv Ya Both!

No offence to our neighbors up north meant!

Alex Trebek (on Jeopardy) once explained that Spanish explorers looking for the source of the Colorado River asked what was further North.
The local Indigenous people said "Ca Nada" nothing --------------------------- Even Canadians told me that "North of 7 isn't heaven" when I was driving up to Algonquin park for canoeing |
