At least no one is claiming it to be original, but I'm a little disgusted by the fact that someone created such a piece as a "Commemorative". One must wonder to what? :(

Nothing like making a Nazi commemorative out of an Imperial era Luger to achieve "authentic" bling.

Utterly tasteless. One to toss in the melting pot, or ship it to Russia so they can melt it into part of their staircase.

Screw it, it’s a glorified range piece at this point.

$700 and a can of black spray paint and you'ld have a good gun for the "range".

The American Historical Foundation is well known for creating (ruining) any number of P.08s in this way. The others are generally just as fantastical, over-buffed, and gaudy as this one. Given what they do to the Parabellum, I find the "Historical" part of the name quite ironic.

I'll buy most any luger if it is cheap enough! :evilgrin:

Anybody else think that barrel is too short for 9mm???

I've adjusted the image in my paint program and measured the barrel length at 3 3/4"...That's not 9mm... :rolleyes:

I suspect the description may be in error; every thing else is "wrong" about that one, so maybe the caliber is too!:D

I have a take off 9mm 1920 commercial type barrel, C/n and serial number, that measures 3.75" approx.
So, there must be some.

Herr Luger is turning over in his grave! How UGLY! What a shame.

Others have said what I would have; simply awful bad taste.

Weird that someone bid (paid?) $2,000 for it. I will pray that the new owner does not show up here and start a "what do I have" thread. It is the only Luger I have ever seen that needs more buffing.

I see it sold for $2000 to some 'lucky'? person!

Prediction of bidder: wears large, gold pinkie rings (one on each hand), gold bracelet, and large, gold chain with hood ornament-sized medallion around the neck.

Fake Rolex or real??? Sandals or tassel loafers??? ;)

I rather like it, but I'd like it better without the fake totemkopf and SS runes. BBL looks bent to me.
