Thanks, I'm kind of partial to tanks. Here's a photo of mine in 1971.

Not too far from where I live, these tanks are not used as monuments unfortunately, there are over 3K of them, just left there to rust, what a shame. :crying:

It takes some time to warm-up to them.
Dad took me on live fire ranges in Bavaria (1964), back in the day. The gun was impressive, but watching them maneuvering in the woods was unforgettable. These B&W are from his archives, taken during maneuvers in 1950. They drove those tanks all over local roads. Later, they put on rubber feet on the tracks, but these tanks didn't have any. *Dad isn't in any of these - he was observing, but that's his car at the gate! |

I have no idea why tanks were called to a hospital.

More Bulldogs! We gave a lot of those to allies.

Hey George, if you still have that IR light cover, there is an M60a1 sitting outside the Dayton VFW hall, about 20 miles from you. You could recreate your past.

This old girl has been sitting out in front of the local National Guard Armory for as long as I can remember. M-41 I believe. It's getting pretty weathered.

I believe the burning tank was live and knocked out in Syria.
All the range tanks we shot up were dry and stripped. 'Bout 10 years ago I saw one on a flatbed with Korean Markings. It was in Illinois heading South on I 57. Possibly headed to the Patton Museum Ft Knox at that time. Here is one at the Gun Museum in Claremore, Oklahoma. More guns than you ever could count. |

Here is an old relic for you tank fans. Imagine having to do battle in this one. This is a picture of my fathers moms, brother. Not really sure where the picture was taken at. He was in WWII and fought in North Africa and later went into Italy. Pretty cool picture though.

There is a museum in La Gleize that exhibits a King Tiger tank abandoned during the Battle of the Bulge. I saw it last year and it was recently painted. The picture of the tank is from the museum site.
