Prayers
Seems like I am always asking for prayers from you my forum friends. Mostly for my wife. This time it's for me. As a result of a routine physical and further tests I have an abdominal aorta aneurysm. Will know more tomorrow when we meet with a heart Dr. I expect it will require surgery. Right now I mostly feel like a walking time bomb. Thanks friends !!! Bill

I pray for you, Bill. You will be fine, don't worry.

Glad you found it, and it sounds like its in an operable area. Had a friend who blew a brain aneurism - the ONLY reason he's still here today is because he was literally just outside of Standford medical center - just a mile or two away! Lost another dear friend to one - she was gone before her head hit the floor. I think you're WAAAY ahead of the game here!
Keep us posted! |
One of those things it pays to know about in advance. Good luck and take your medicine Bill. You are needed around here.

Good luck to you. Sounds like you have the situation under control. Take Care! Bob |
I pray for you and Mary every day and will continue to do so. Hope all turns out well my friend.

Sarah's and my prayers are with you (and lots for Mary too) my friend. We have another acquaintance that has been walking around with the same type of aneurysm for over 15 years now. You are fortunate to have had it diagnosed with a routine exam. So hang in there, the odds are on your side.

Bill, a close family member had this same thing and because they caught it, all was and is well. My best to you.
|
Bill, you are certainly in my thoughts and prayers for effective treatment as needed, and a fast recovery.
My father survived a burst aneurysm in the brain back about 50 years ago. I remember things so clearly, even though I was young. I expect that taking things easy will help avoid any immediate problems, so no running, wood chopping or anything stressful. I went through two major surgeries last year, and things worked out well thanks to the competence of a wonderful surgeon and hospital team. I've got confidence for you! Marc Marc |
You and Mary have been in my thoughts and prayers for some time now Bill and will continue to be until I hear all is well with you both. Please keep us posted when it is convenient to do so, thanks.

Bill,
I just had a really good friend that found himself in the same condition as you. I felt sure that they would do the abdominal surgery and place a graft into the aneurysm, like has been done for many, many years. Much to my surprise and delight, they went through a small groin incision and placed a stint inside of the aneurysm and he was out of the hospital in 3 days. He is doing 100%, and I do so wish the same for you. |
Prayers that God guides your surgeon's hands and for a rapid recovery of your health Bill. My best wishes and prayers for Mary as well.
If you can't turn to your friends for prayer, then who ? (KJV) James 5:16 |
All the best to you Sir
