Old thread of Age of members on forum

Here is a new poll, not to steal the thunder from the other thread, but will be interesting to see.

Nobody can see your choice unless you make a remark in the section below.

Wow! So far, it's a perfect bell curve. Actually, I thought it would be biased toward the older/higher ages. It's great to see the youngsters participating.

Hey Ed, why are we baby boomers pink?

Very funny!

I didn't pick colors, forum software does

I probably skewed the numbers a bit - since I am 53, I still allowed some ancient friends to be in my group :D

I probably should have said the old 40-55 - 56-66 ...

Not perfect.

Right now 2 - 3 on one side and 7 - 3 on the other.

Close though.

Thanks for setting this up

[B]My first Luger was a 1917/1920) at the age of 20. It is long gone now. At 58 I started having more funds available. One thought though, as we all age, do most forum member have plans for passing their Luger collections on? or will they end up in auctions? Most sub 25 year olds today seem to know nothing of what a Luger is or it's history, outside they know of the 9mm Luger ammo, but fail to the two together and their inherited Luger ends up in a pawn shop.

I have missed out on the numbers and the colors.

you can't see them until you vote...

CAP Black 02-16-2014 11:02 PM

When I first viewed the box containing your response it contained a grouping of age selections to vote but then it went away.

There's an answer to your question.

The movie clip is "R" rated: a couple of "F"-bombs and a hint of bias. Don't search for it around the kids.

Google: "Why am I Mr. Pink" >>>> then watch the clip. Nouveau Classic.

"Reservoir Dogs" was the first thing that came to mind, LOL. Well played, sir.

I tell Debby I'm investing in my luger IRA! ~~Eric

Yep! "n" is still too small for a +90% confidence level but I think we have "3 Sigma's under the graph."

Gunny

PS. Guess who got an "A" in Stats 601? (And never used it thereafter!)

Anybody 88 or older?

any members forget to vote :)

Hi Ed, It's funny that you should bring up the age topic on the anniversary of your carbine order with Lugerman. You are relatively young, in your 50's I believe, and have reasonable expectations of receiving the carbine in your lifetime. I, on the other hand, will be turning 76 pretty soon. While I still buy green bananas, there is no way I'd have Eugene do any work for me.
Best regards an good luck, Norm

I thought I would mention that so far I am the only one under 25.

I only have a single luger but I read this site everyday. The base of knowledge here is incredible and I am so lucky to learn from everyone here. I look at Lugers entirely differently now.

I know the future has several more in stock for me!

sheepherder 05-28-2015 12:59 PM

Ed, it's over a year since you posted this poll, and I've bumped up into the next higher age group.

Please correct the results. ;)

Edward Tinker 05-28-2015 02:47 PM

sheephoarder, I was not sure if I should add one to 76+ or the new last one, so I did both :D

I will have to ask Michael why he did not vote? Of course, he might be older than I think :D

HerrKaiser 03-17-2018 04:35 PM

Wow...I'm only the third person on here under 25??

Maybe just the 3rd one who voted! :)

Edward Tinker 03-18-2018 02:21 AM

This is an old posting but always fun.

I think I’ll make a new poll..... same topic...
