He probably watched American Westerns when he was a kid since he is wearing a 2 gun/holster rig.

He dosen't even know it is missing, carton of smokes, it's yours.

Mike, I wish I had a pic of myself from the ROTC days, with the M1 Garand they gave us for drill. You're right, these guys look pretty much like you'd imagine a busload of draftees disembarking at boot camp. Kiss your fresh-faced innocence goodbye...
