A Prayer Request
Dear Friends,
Some of you may remember that in the past I have asked for your prayers, and I have been very grateful for the response. This is another of those occasions. This is a difficult thing for me to write about so please bear with me. The reason for this posting is that I am soliciting your prayers for my daughter Amy McGough, and the twins she is currently carrying that are due November 7th. Amy is a cancer survivor and has battled cancer multiple times in the last 10 years. Yesterday she was told that she has a tumor which is threatening not only her twins, but her own life. This is a very sad and difficult time for us, as her twins, Abby and Adam would be the first twins in our family. Abby would be our first ever granddaughter. We refuse to give up on any of them. In the King James Version of the Bible, in the book of James 5:16, we are told: “ Confess your faults one to another, and pray one for another, that ye may be healed. The effectual fervent prayer of a righteous man availeth much.” This verse has gotten me through some very tough times, and I stand on it today. I know that many of you are persons of faith, and I would ask that you contact your own church and have her and the children put on their respective prayer lists, and that you would personally pray for Amy and her babies that they would receive God’s mercy and the touch of His hand in these circumstances to restore her health, and the spare the lives of our unborn grandchildren. Thank you in advance for your time and prayers, and please know that I will pray for each of you as well. -John |
Your daughter is in my prayers...I too am a survivor, and just yesterday was told that after 18 years I am still NED...
May God bless and look over your family... |
Consider it done John, you got to have faith.
My best to you and yours Sir. Mark |

You and your family are in our prayers. We will put your daughter on our church prayer chain. Wish there was more we could do. Your friend Bill |
You, your daughter, your family and the new lives to be are certainly in my thoughts with best wishes for health and suppression of the tumor.
If you will pardon a short story... My cousin, and one of the few members of my family I'm close to, was chief of police in a small town 25 years ago. He broke up a bar fight and was pretty beat up himself after the altercation. While he wanted to go home, the paramedics insisted he go to the hospital. It was there that they discovered he had Hodgkin's lymphoma. He was treated with the early radiation therapy they had available then, and survived it. He's still here with us today in a successful business; one son through college. Your spirit of support and belief and her determination can only help through this difficult time. My spirit is with you all. Marc |

John, God Bless you and your family. Your Daughter, your Grandchildren and you are in our thoughts and prayers. May the good Lord give you all strength and comfort. Vince

John, Debbie and I will pray for her and your family. When I was in a coma in Costa Rica I was given last rights a priest put a rosary around my neck and St. Jude token in my hand. As I slowly came out of my coma Debbie noticed I was grasping the cross and token. Faith and prayers are essential and do work. My Italian step grandma will light a candle and pray to Saint Jude.

John, you have got my prayers. I know what it is like to be a survivor and it isn't easy. Just remember God doesn't give you more than he thinks you can endure!

After reading your message I prayed that your daughter would have her cancer taken away. It is a good thing to ask for prayers as our relationship with the Big Guy is the most important one in our lives.

To all of you dear friends, both new and old, who have responded with heartfelt sentiment and prayers, and so much more...
Mere words could never express the unending gratitude of parents, and grandparents, and we ask that you continue to pray for Amy. ...but I must sadly report to all of you, that our unborn grandchildren, Abby, and Adam, have succumbed to this situation, and have gone to be with the Lord on Tuesday of this week... I pray that none of you ever have to suffer pain of such indescribable depth... We shall continue to trust in the Lord for the restoration of Amy's health, and thank you all once again for your personal support, prayers and comfort. -John & Peggy Sabato |
John & Peggy..I am so sorry to hear this..Thanks for letting us know. We get what God let's us have...Keep your chin up John and take good care of Amy.
Jerry |
John,
Yours and you are in my thoughts and hopes. While we are saddened by the loss of two potential bright candles, we are uplifted because the outcome could have been worse. I wish Amy the best of medical skill and care, the best luck, and most of all, the best inner strength to overcome. Remember, all things must pass. These heartbreaking days will never be undone, but will give way to happy ones once again. D. |
John and Peggy,
I am sad beyond words, and share your grief. Amy continues to be in my thoughts. Marc |
I am sorry to hear the news. Your daughter and all remain in our prayers.
|
I am so very sad to hear of the loss that your "little" girl Amy and you and your wife have suffered, and not in the least all that you all have had to endure over the last ten years, I cannot imagine what that must have been like. I certainly will continue to keep Amy, you and your wife Peggy in my prayers, may the good Lord bless and watch over you all.
Lonnie |
John and Family, your loss touches the heart and souls of us all. God bless all of you and give you strength for the next chapter of life. I am honored to have given prayers for such innocents. Part of the extended brotherhood and family. Vince

My sincere condolences to you and your family. You all have our thoughts and prayers. Know it's difficult but keep your chin up. Bill |
John, I lost my granddaughter Samantha one week before she was due to be born and understand some of the loss you feel. It's not supposed to happen this way. I hope you will find the consolation that my wife and I have discovered in having our own angel who can whisper in God's ear on our behalf. God bless your family.

John, you and your family are in our thoughts and prayers May God watch over you and your family. Bill

John, i wish to offer my condolences to you and your family. Perhaps i maybe one of the few here that has been trained to deal with grief, but even with some training i can never seem to have the right words . i am use to burieing our military which has a structure and protocal to it. but one thing i have learned is, grief is love not wanting to let go. God's word says"we see through a glass darkly " God's way are not our ways . Find rest under the wings of the allmighty and know your loved ones sleep in the arms of angels. much respect, Padre

Prayers to the whole of you all.. health and strength to Amy, yourself, the twins, and all the rest of the family.
