Can't find words..

http://news.blogs.cnn.com/2011/07/22...ported/?hpt=T1

My thoughts and prayers go to all the youth shot at Utøya and the bomb victims in Oslo.

As some of you know, I live in Oslo. Me and my family are shocked, angry, sad ..but safe. Ready to keep fighting for the values we belive in.

Neil Young 07-22-2011 05:27 PM

Yes Steinar. Our thoughts are with your countrymen. We live in a very troubled world now.

Steinar..It appears no one is immune from the religion of peace. Neil puts it nicely..Our thoughts are with your countrymen. We live in a very troubled world now.

Keep your chin up..

I have walked the streets of Oslo where this abomination occurred. My prayers are with all Norwegians.

Ice 07-22-2011 05:59 PM

Cowardly attacks on a peaceful people. Prayers for all the innocents.

Our prayers are with you. From everything I know about the Norwegian people, Al-Quaida just messed with the wrong crowd.

Norme 07-22-2011 06:02 PM

Dear Steinar, You and your countrymen have my heartfelt sympathy. It's a sad world we live in. Norm

Ron Smith 07-22-2011 06:22 PM

Steinar,

A very evil act. The best they can do is to go after a children's camp.

"Coward" would be a compliment to these animals. Our thoughts go out to You and and the Great People of Norway.

I can't begin to tell how much I hate the people that are capable of something like this. They dress like women and use children as human shields. You cannot call them men, they are sub-human, they need it be wiped of the face of the earth. I'm truly heart broken that any civilized nation should suffer a tragedy this horrifying, may God bless.

Dear Sir,

We are with you. Time for your "Roland" to be with us all, again. God knows that we all need some Roland types to lead us to some salvation.

God bless you and yours.

Our prayers for the people of your country . May the insanity soon end . Bill

My prayers go out to the people of your wonderful country. May these BASTARDS rot in hell.

Steinar,

Our prayers go out to you, your wonderful Country, and fine City. The person/persons who did this heinous crime need to have swift justice, and NOT in a court of law!! A Very deep part of Hell is reserved for animals who do such crimes.

The number of dead on "Utøya" keeps rising and is now up to 80 kids/youth, I'm in tears thinking of it.. this was our future, the good ones. Spending their summer vacation on a summer camp with music and bbq.

Somewhat unexpected, it seems like this is the act of just one man. Shooting for an hour at kids with NO escape and bombing the city centre.
Norway is military active in several contries, I have served in some myself.. But it seems these tragic events are not related to that.

A very sad day:(

Steinar,

Words cannot express the deep sorrow that I feel for the loss of so many innocent youths.

Our sympathy goes out to their families and to their country who have lost a significant part of the next generation.

tenbears 07-23-2011 12:47 PM

I'm stunned I have never heard of one lone gunman killing so many kids in one place.

Ugluk 07-25-2011 03:41 PM

Steinar,
I hope you and your contrymen feel the support from your close neighbour. Suddenly jokes about norwegians isn't so funny anymore.
Pull through and stand tall..

Ugluk 07-25-2011 03:49 PM

It seems it was incredibly evil in planning and deed.
He set off a huge bomb in Oslo near the government building and used this as a distraction to murder kids on an island.
He spent an hour and a half systematically walking around on the island dressed up as a police officer killing those he found. He even called out to his victims that the danger was over and he was a policeman and killed those that came out of hiding.

Almost beyond belief.

No arabic islamist but a conservative right wing nut who allegedly planned this for 9(!) years.

John Sabato 07-25-2011 04:34 PM

My prayers and condolences to you and your countrymen Steinar... There are no words that can be productive in this situation.

May Almighty God bless and comfort the families of those who have been wounded, and those who have been lost to this senselessness...

May there be swift justice for these cowards.

I am retired U S military. I've seen more than I ever want to remember. I cannot imagine the calousness shown in Norway, it is unreal in the sheltered world that we live in. 1.5 hours of endless murder. Perhaps more expected in some sub-tropic third world countries, such a shock in a modern European society. I pray for the souls of the departed and shall pray much longer for those that have "survived". Is there any good and sanity left in our world?

God, please bless us all and guide us.

I apologize to anyone that I have offended by asking for some help from the Divine power.

Edward Tinker 07-25-2011 10:34 PM

no words can express my sorrow.

I pray and feel sorrow for so many victims and their families.

It warms my heart to read that prayers are made to those who need it.

The strongest ones, tried to swim the 600m to shore. The youngest did not..
Some grouped together in fear, and where glad when a man with police uniform finally came. He was holding a mini 14 - not a police gun.
Other tried to hide.. alone, with friends or with their boy/girl friend. Some made it, many did not.
..it's just too terrible to imagine.

I'm a grown man, who has seen death many times. But when kids die like this, it's just too much for me to hold back tears. Glad I can cry with you guys, people here are truly good hearted.

"If one man can show so much hatred, imagine how much love we can show together"
Quote Stine Renate Håheim, survivor of the massacre at Utøya 22 july 2011

hgreer2 07-26-2011 11:36 AM

I was forced to go through a similar tragedy in Oklahoma City when Tim McVey blew up the Murrah building. My office was three blocks away and it blew some of the windows out of our building. I know what the good people in Norway are going through, they find it hard to believe one of their own could do such a thing, it's a hard thing to wrap your mind around. Time will help, but those that faced this will never forget, God Bless You and speed your healing.
Harry
