Rich,
Both guns are 9mm. Still, a good selection if you could only have two:) |
I don't think I could come up with only 2.
I would like to chose 3 Lugers in 9m/m of my choice;that I think I could do. So maybe I will start a thread with the choice of 3. Bob |
OK I have thought about it and I would choose 3 9m/m Lugers.
Number 1 1914 DWM Artillery Number 2 1916 DWM Navy Number 3 1934 K-Date Navy Luger Bob |
1902 carbine/1920 carbine

A Luger and another Luger.
|
I always think limiting to something like this is, well.... but I do like to play along too :)
1900 AE Test 1925 Simson |
As I recall, Michael Reese in his "Luger Tips" book list a 7 gun collection containing all standard FACTORY length barrels, calibers and all pre 1946 manufactures (7 if you include Vickers --- DWM, Erfurt, Simson, Swiss WF Bern, Mauser & Kreighoff). An interesting concept. TH

45 cal US military test
George Lugers baby (if unavailable) 1902 45 cal carbine Harry |
7.65mm - 1903/04 French Transitional - Only 50 made
9mm - 1902 US Test Trials Cartridge Counter - Only 50 made |
Today, I would want one luger carbine and one 9mm LP08, with kits and a case of loaded snail drum magazines.

M2 Portuguese contract for the 7,65. (which I have).
Portuguese Royal Navy contract for the 9. (which I don't have and don't expect to acquire  ). Wow! Just noticed this was a very old thread. |
It's an old thread but still fun...
7.65mm - M1898 Prototype S#1 9mm - M1904 Navy S#1 |
Just a good shooter grade Erfurt 1914 LPO8 in 9MM with stock and drum, and a standard 1920 commercial PO8 in 7.65. :D
|
Two Cartridge Counters~
|
Mine are simple... No 9mm or 7.65mm
Two .45 caliber Lugers... both of the original Lugers for the U.S. Army Pistol Tests with all original accessories. :) |
Perfect!!
|
Only two Lugers
Make mine a 1923 Commercial and a 1916 or 1917 Navy. :) Bill
